Who Needs Trucking Barristers? Eddie Stobart Law Thinks They Have The Answer…

Whiplash Claim Compensation Specialist Nicholas Jervis

Nicholas Jervis, Solicitor (non-practising) and Managing Director of Loyalty Law

The legal services world has been rife with speculation about who will enter the market now that it is no longer limited to solicitors. Tesco Law has always been talked about as the most likely candidate, but they have yet really to show their hand. The biggest entrant to the legal services market so far has certainly been the Co-Op, who have come quickly onto the scene and are selling their legal services to their customers who can acquire points for shopping if they buy a Will. We have yet to see if this will take off as an idea (Loyalty Law were one of the first to pioneer loyalty rewards for using our services more than once).

However, a surprising entry to the legal services market is trucking firm Eddie Stobarts. The darlings of the motorways with their striking colours, drivers with ties and individually named trucks, they are now also allowing other businesses to use their own in-house barristers.

Aimed primarily at business legal services users, the offer is to connect you direct to their barristers for fast advice. A P45 is pinned to their website masthead, indicating that employment law is one area where they expect significant interest. This is understandable as any employer knows the stress that can be caused by a claim made against them, not to mention the lost income from the time spent defending a case.

From our point of view, anything which makes the law more accessible to businesses and with our services, individuals, is a good thing. For years lawyers have seemed inaccessible, yet having been a solicitor I know that usually this is not the case. They care about what they do and want to do the best job possible for their clients, yet they have struggled to promote their services sufficiently well. That is why I formed Loyalty Law. After 14 years of working in the legal profession, I knew a lot of very competent, professional solicitors, and I wanted more clients to have access to their expertise. So that is what we do at Loyalty Law – connect you with specialist solicitors. From whiplash claims to employment law, medical negligence to making a Will, we find the right solicitors to help you.

Easier access to legal services is a very positive thing, so well done to Eddie Stobart Law for opening access to their barristers.

If you want access to specialist solicitors, we hope you ask Loyalty Law to help you.
